Call Of Duty 4: Black Ops 4’s Battle Royale Mode Goes Free-To-Play…

We awarded Activision’s Call Of Duty 4: Black Ops 4 our coveted Best Shooter of 2018 award mostly because its battle royale mode, lovingly called Blackout, is very fun and polished. It’s so fun that Activision is having a seven-day free trial featuring the mode on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 starting this week.

The trial begins this Thursday 17 January (GMT) and ends Thursday 24 January (GMT). More details will be shared soon; we’ll update this post as soon as we get them.

As we’ve said time and again, we really hope the company can cut us a little slack and make this coveted mode free for new players, and even have a bit of cosmetic-savvy microtransactioning in the mix since Activision loves money and all.

To quote our review, “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4‘s Blackout is by far the most complete battle royale game in the market right now.”

It’s been almost 2 months already and the game is starting to annoy its players. Yeah. A boat has been added but for a huge map, that’s it? The Battle Royale might not be enough to compensate its players. Black Ops 4 needs to incorporate new contents. Maybe fun modes like Prop Hunt, Sharpshooter, Sticks and Stones, and One in the Chamber could redeem it.
