Assassin’s Creed Odyssey The Fate Of Atlantis Dropping Anchor Next Week

Ubisoft has announced the official release date for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey The Fate Of Atlantis, the second post-launch story content for the latest entry in the long-running franchise. The first episode of the upcoming episodic arc is Fields of Elysium, which is slated to release on all available platforms on 23 April 2019.

After building and losing her/his family in the first DLC expansion Legacy of the First Blade, Kassandra/Alexios ventures into the Greek afterlife to uncover the great mysteries that lie within the ancient realms of the gods.

In Fields of Elysium, players will travel to a paradise populated by fallen warriors and those who were good during their lifetimes, encountering the mighty Isu. The first episode of The Fate of Atlantis will also introduce the following:

  • New factions
  • New legendary weapons and gear
  • All-new Ability enhancements, which modify existing abilities to change their function, giving players the opportunity to customize their playstyles even further

Players will have two options on how to start playing The Fate of Atlantis:

  • After completing the main game, players will have to complete the questline Between Two Worlds, the mythological main game story arc, and Heir of Memories, the Lost Tales of Greece questline that is available after completing the former questline. Finally, they must have reached character level 28 or above.
  • For those who haven’t completed all of the above: There will be a shortcut, where players will enter Greece level 52 with preset Abilities and resources enabling them to start their adventure into the afterlife with the Lost Tales of Greece questline Heir of Memories. They will also have the opportunity to choose their hero. However, unlike the first option, the players’ progression using the shortcut will not carry over to the main game save, and they will not be able to obtain achievements.

The second and third episode, Torment of Hades, and Judgment of Atlantis, respectively, will be released sometime in mid-2019. While waiting for the first episode of The Fate of Atlantis to arrive, check out the trailer below to see what awaits.
