Mobile Legends To Host Malaysia’s Biggest Gaming Campaign This Weekend

The biggest gaming campaign in Malaysia is set to take place at Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, this Saturday on 18 May 2019. The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang event is slated to attract more than 100,000 gamers and fans of the mobile MOBA game, which is also one of the six esports titles to compete at the upcoming 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines this November.

The Mobile Legends event marks not only the closing of Moonton’s month-long 515-Unite Day Campaign but also part of the company’s effort as a game developer to build public awareness and promote responsible gaming, as outlined in the Malaysian esports blueprint which was announced by Minister of Youth and Sports, YB Syed Saddiq recently.

Moonton Regional Marketing Manager for Southeast Asia Nelson Woon said:

“Thousands of attendees were recorded in four major cities in Peninsula Malaysia
since we kicked started the 515 Unite Day at the Gurney Paragon Mall in Penang.

Seeing the positive responses received, we are confident that this campaign can
create more awareness among non-gamers in this region and attract them to
familiarize themselves with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.”

Throughout the 515-Unite Day Campaign, Moonton has featured mini-tournaments (where fans were able to play against their favorite pro players), as well as allocating freebies worth more than RM50,000 including HyperX headsets, Mobile Legends character Miya figurines, in-game diamonds and many more.

During the event, 10-time Mr. Universe winner Sazali Samad will be appearing as Mobile Legends hero Badang to challenge attendees at arm wrestling. The character Badang is inspired by Malaysian folklore where he was granted with super-strength after encountering a water monster threatening his village.
