E3 2019: Darksiders 3’s Gunfire Games Shows Off Remnant: From The Ashes
Ever felt like taking on the post-apocalypse with a team to take down fantastical monsters? Then Remnant: From The Ashes is your cup of tea.
Made by Gunfire Games, the people who created last year’s Darksiders 3, this third-person shooter requires you and two other players to tackle the game’s monsters and scenarios that seem pretty influenced by titles like Dark Souls and Bloodborne. The title also features drop-in and drop-out co-op, which means you won’t be playing the game alone with AIs as long as you keep your network settings public.
The game features a dynamic generation system, where the “game’s system picks up the stitches and makes sure that no two playthroughs are the same” according to Gunfire’s lead designer David Adams. The team wants to make sure the playthroughs for each team is unique, right down to even the legendary loot they receive from kills and boss defeats.
If anything, having a co-op experience in an action game with RPG elements and dark fantasy is refreshing especially when you’ve been playing such games alone. Remnant: From The Ashes will be out 20th August.
