E3 2019: We Have A Sequel To PC Darling Evil Genius, 15 Years Later

Back in 2004, cult-classic villain simulator Evil Genius impressed a lot of strategy and sim fans with its unique stylings and humour. Fast forward 15 years later, we now get a sequel courtesy of this year’s E3 PC Gaming Show.

The sequel will have you playing a villainous super-genius hell-bent on taking over the world. You’ll have an army of henchmen, a base under a volcano, setting up traps like tripwires, giant fans, and even traps with pools filled with man-eating sharks. You’ll have to plan out your world domination missions so you need to keep your base and resources in tip-top shape.

The devs are quick to point out that this isn’t going to be like the F2P mobile game Evil Genius Online. “We’d like to make this super-duper clear — this isn’t a remaster. Evil Genius 2 will be a fully-fledged sequel and it won’t be free-to-play.” There’s no release date yet, so keep yourself entertained with the trailer for now.
