How P.T.’s Horror Star Gave The Best Scares

This week is the fifth anniversary of P.T., the playable teaser for the cancelled Silent Hills back in 2014. Both streamers and data-miners were obsessed with the demo despite the fact that it’s not available on PS4 (thanks Konami). Probably because people still up to this day analyze it and even attempt to recreate it for the PC.

And wouldn’t you know it? Someone online, an indie developer named Lance McDonald, found a new tidbit in P.T.: turns out that the horror figure of the game, Lisa, is behind the player’s camera the whole time. All through the magic of a camera hack.

To recap, P.T. puts your player in an endless looping hallway where random horrors and scares happen, usually from a ghost named Lisa. In the technical aspects of the demo, Lisa is the one that’s been making the spooky noises and shadows from behind the player at certain parts of the game.

Kinda reminds you of that Thai movie Shutter, eh? Just the way her head is twitching when following you is unsettling enough as it is…
