The biggest gaming phenomenon this decade didn’t happen on PC. Heck, it didn’t even happen on consoles. The biggest gaming tidal wave to wash over the world can be found right in our pockets.

Subway Surfer, the most downloaded mobile game this decade.

According to mobile data and analytics firm App Annie, Subway Surfer is the most downloaded mobile game from 2010 to 2019. It was the first ever game to reach 1 billion downloads on Android alone. In mid-2018, the game even managed to accumulate more than 2.5 billion downloads.

Garena Free Fire is 2019’s most downloaded mobile game.

If we’re just talking about 2019, the most globally downloaded game this year is Garena Free Fire. Competitors PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty: Mobile are placed at the second and tenth spot respectively.

Clash of Clans continues to be the wallet drainer for many gamers. It sits on the throne for being the mobile game with the highest consumer spending in this decade.

In terms of consumer spending in 2019, Fate/Grand Order made the most money. In the same category for the decade, FGO ranks fifth place. Sitting on the money pile with highest consumer spending in the decade is Supercell’s Clash of Clans.
