Netflix’s Snowpiercer Goes Full Steam Ahead Later This Month
South Korean director Bong Joon-ho may have won an Oscar for his brilliant Parasite, but he has a lot of other amazing movies under his belt, including the underrated 2013 science-fiction dystopia film Snowpiercer based on the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige.
Now Netflix has made its own series adaptation of Snowpiercer, with Bong Joon-ho returning as executive producer.

Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, the series centres on the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a perpetually moving train, with 1001 cars, that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation.

It stars:
- Jennifer Connelly (A Beautiful Mind)
- Daveed Diggs (Hamilton, Black-ish)
- Alison Wright (The Americans)
- Mickey Sumner (Frances Ha, Battle of the Sexes)
- Susan Park (Ghostbusters)
- Iddo Goldberg (Peaky Blinders, The Zookeeper’s Wife)
- Katie McGuinness (Dirty Filthy Love)
- Lena Hall (Hedwig and the Angry Inch)
- AnnaliseBasso (Bedtime Stories)
- Sam Otto (Jellyfish)
- Roberto Urbina (Narcos)
- Sheila Vand (Argo)
- Jaylin Fletcher (Saturday Church)

Award-winning writer and producer Graeme Manson (Orphan Black) is the showrunner for Netflix’s Snowpiercer, which will premiere its first two episodes on 25 May 2020 before moving to a weekly schedule for its remaining eight episodes (for a total of ten episodes in its first season).
