Assassin’s Creed, Splinter Cell & Star Wars VR Games Are Coming To The New Oculus Quest 2

During the Facebook Connect live stream last night, the company officially announced the new Oculus Quest 2, which is slated to launch on 13 October 2020. There were several notable games announced as well.

Ubisoft has announced new exclusive Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell VR games for the new platform, both of which will be developed by Red Storm Entertainment, best known for their work on VR titles like Werewolves Within and Star Trek: Bridge Crew.

In addition, ILMxLAB has revealed new gameplay and characters coming to Star Wars: Tales From The Galaxy’s Edge.

In Star Wars: Tales From The Galaxy’s Edge, players will assume the role of a droid repair technician who crash-lands on the planet Batuu after a pirate attack. In typical Star Wars fashion, they’ll quickly get swept up into a grand adventure on the outskirts of Black Spire Outpost.

Players can converse with Seezelslak (Bobby Moynihan) in his cantina and be transported to other places and times in the Star Wars galaxy through his legendary tales. They can also receive important missions to complete in the wilds of Batuu, encountering new and iconic characters along the way, like the pirate Tara Rashin (Debra Wilson).

No release dates have been announced for the Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell VR games, but Star Wars: Tales From The Galaxy’s Edge will launch sometime in holiday 2020.

In the meantime, check out the trailer below.
