Midnight Fight Express Will Take To The Streets Next Year

With titles like River City Girls, Streets of Rage 4, and Battletoads making waves these past years and months, you would think the old-school brawler genre is making a comeback of sorts. That’s good, because that’s my jam.

Midnight Fight Express looks like another return to beat-em-up form, but now on an isometric perspective. Basically, you fight your way across the city from office buildings to even churches (see feature image) using your wits. But mostly your fists, feet, knives, pipes, pistols and whatnot.

The game’s selling point is its customization and motion-captured combat. Seeing this in motion, even in its alpha state, warms the cockles of my heart. It’s slated for a 2021 release; you can follow Humble Games’ Twitter here for your quick fix update. Methinks it’s going to trend well with GIFs of its combat.
