Netflix has announced a brand new live-action series based on Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise
Ubisoft senior vice president of film and television Jason Altman and director of television development Danielle Kreinik will serve as executive producers of the upcoming series.
No other details have been revealed about the Netflix Assassin’s Creed series, so it’s safe to assume that it will be a while before it even premieres.
In a statement via press release (Gematsu), Altman said:
“For more than 10 years, millions of fans around the world have helped shape the Assassin’s Creed brand into an iconic franchise.
We’re thrilled to create an Assassin’s Creed series with Netflix and we look forward to developing the next saga in the Assassin’s Creed universe.â€
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is slated to launch on 10 November 2020 for the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PS4, the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store on PC. However, it will only release for the PS5 on 12 November 2020.
In other recent news, the developer revealed the game’s post-launch plans.
