Locke And Key Renewed By Netflix For Season 3

Netflix has surprisingly renewed Locke And Key for Season 3 ahead of its upcoming Season 2, which is slated to premiere sometime in 2021.

The news arrives just as production on Season 2 is set to wrap in Toronto this week (via Deadline). Filming for Season 3 will pick up immediately in 2021.

It’s great news for fans of the source material, as an adaptation of Locke And Key was stuck in development hell for years before Netflix picked it up. It was notorious for being difficult to adapt, but I’d say that the showrunners have pulled it off, despite taking some liberties on the comics.

We still don’t have any details on Locke And Key Season 2, or even a potential release date yet.

Locke And Key is based on the horror drama graphic novels/comics of the same name by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodríguez. For those who don’t know, Joe Hill is actually the son of horror maestro Stephen King himself.
