The Devs Who Created Disintegration Has Shut Down

2021 claims yet another video game developer: V1 Interactive, the folks behind the action game Disintegration.

The studio recently announced its closure with the following Twitter message:

“We are sad to inform you that V1 Interactive is officially closing. We want to thank all the talented people at V1, both past and present, who helped make the last five years wonderful. And a heartfelt thanks to the amazing community that supported us.

At V1, our priority has been to the wellbeing of our employees. We’ve been transparent with them about the state of things for months and are making this decision now so they still have ample time to search for new jobs while being supported by our studio.”

The studio was established in 2015. It shipped Disintegration last June on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It was met with mediocre reviews.

It’s rather sad that the team cannot go beyond its one game to make amends. Let’s hope the devs and workers managed to secure another job in the industry.
