Apex Legends Teases New Legend, Celebrates 100 Million Players

Respawn Entertainment has announced that Apex Legends has surpassed a whopping 100 million players, making it an impressive new milestone for the battle royale game.

Alongside the announcement of the milestone, a new video was released, hinting at a new playable Legend to join the game and a potential update to the Olympus map. The most interesting detail is that the developer is teasing an official reveal to arrive on 19 April 2021.

The end of the video in the tweet above shares a glimpse at someone who seems to be a brand new Legend who will presumably join the game’s roster in Apex Legends Season 9. It looks like the character can apparently fly, but data miners have discovered that her name might be Valk.

In addition to the new Legend, the video also hinted at a possible change to the Olympus map. However, none of this has been confirmed as of yet. We’ll have to wait until next week for what the developer has in store. Perhaps fans can even look forward to more Titanfall 2 content in Apex Legends Season 9.
