Warhammer 40K Darktide Will Be An Xbox Game Pass Day One Game
Do you know what a Left 4 Dead-inspired co-op shooter needs to stand out? A bit of gritty sci-fi laced into it. That’s the gist of the upcoming Warhammer 40K shooter, which is basically a spiritual sequel to the Warhammer: Vermintide series.
You play as one of the four agents of the Inquisition who are sent to the darkest parts of the galaxy to investigate dark cult-related going-ons. You can expect to do a lot of shooting, protecting, and support gunning down Orks and other popular Warhammer 40K monsters and freaks that are most likely inspired by that one James Cameron movie sequel about space marines and xenomorphs.
In addition to the game coming out for PC and consoles, Xbox has announced that the game will be out for Xbox Game Pass on Day One. So if you have a subscription to the service, you can play this co-op shooter right out of the gate.
Welcome to the Darktide. The all new Warhammer 40,000 game is coming to @XboxGamePass on day one!

Check out the gameplay and game’s writer Dan Abnett feature below. He’s got a lot to say about the tabletop series.
“I love the universe as a whole, obviously. I’ve spent a lot of time there, so I love all the stuff to do with it. Obviously there are iconic elements like Space Marines that represent 40K in a nutshell, but I’ve always gravitated towards human characters because they seem to me to give the best place for a reader, or a player in this case, to relate to.
The human condition and that kind of stuff. Just a regular person who’s not augmented or empowered by Astartes gifts or anything like that. It’s something to identify with and to relate to, but also a great place from which to see the universe, because you are the smallest thing in it.”
Warhammer 40K Darktide will be out in 2021.
