[Rumour] Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Remasters Are Coming To Major Platforms End Of 2021

This holiday season is looking pretty bright and crime-ridden if this piece of news is of any indication.

Sources from Kotaku have confirmed that Rockstar Games may be remastering three classic Grand Theft Auto games: GTA 3, GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas. All three games will be remastered using Unreal Engine and will be a mix of “old and new graphics”. The user interfaces of each title will be updated too, but will retain the same classic style. The titles will stay true to the PS2-era GTA games as much as possible.

The remastered trio of games will be released later in Holiday 2021 (late October and November) for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. Rumours have been circling the internet on Twitter and Reddit, but the one key confirmation to this game news is Take-Two talking about its unannounced remastered games in development.

That’s all well and good, but the only thing I ask from these remakes are checkpoints mid-mission. None of us have time redoing 30+ minutes of a bloody mission that we have to restart because of some bug or a random occurrence in the city we’re in.
