We Might Be Getting A Klonoa Series Remaster Announcement Soon…

Bandai Namco’s most underrated platformer series might be making a comeback if this trademark news is anything to go by.

The company that’s known for anime game adaptations has filed trademarks for “Waffuu Encore” and “1&2 Encore” in Japan. For those who haven’t played games in the late 90s and 2000s era, “Waffuu” is the catchphrase of Klonoa, a platformer mascot cat with giant ears that double as hands/wings. While Bandai Namco has made a “Klonoa Encore” trademark last September, this latest piece of news means that an announcement might be happening later this year.

As for the “1&2 Encore”? Bandai Namco might be remastering both Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil. I am personally game for these; hopefully there’s a tease planned at this year’s Tokyo Game Show.
