Capcom Countdown Reveal Pops Up; Might Be New Street Fighter Reveal

Capcom has launched a teaser website which is counting down to something later this week.

The date of the reveal will be on 21 February 2pm GMT+8 (next Monday), which is coincidentally the same time the upcoming Street Fighter 5 Capcom Pro Tour Season Final showcase finishes. The Capcom Pro Tour Season Final will be showcasing exhibition matches from 18th February until the 21st, featuring 31 pro Street Fighter 5 players like Angrybird, Mago, Punk, Idom, and Daigo Umehara.

Does this mean we will be getting a short peek at Street Fighter 6? Or a new fighting game in the Street Fighter universe? We’ll be tuning in, of course, so let’s hope that’s the case. Street Fighter 5 has been around long enough since 2016, so a new engine and 2D mechanics change for next year (and also being out on all platforms apart from PC and PS4) would be great for fighting game fans.

Honestly, I’m also cool with a new Capcom vs SNK; that’s also long overdue.
