Why the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is Their Most Powerful Phone Yet

Samsung’s new flagship phone, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G will have a bunch of shiny new features that look to push the boundaries of what a smartphone can be.

The next model in the S series line of smartphones will be the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G which has some built-in features that prove it to be the most powerful device Samsung has ever created. The phone will come in three variants, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G, the most powerful one, the Samsung Galaxy S22, and the Samsung Galaxy S22+. The Ultra 5G version will cram in various features from their other line of Samsung products along with three other notable additions that make the device something worth keeping an eye on.

The Stylus Is Mightier Than The Pen

The first trick up the S22 Ultra’s sleeve is the addition of a stylus, integrated into the mainline series of phones for the first time. Traditionally a feature included with the Galaxy Note, Note users’ favourite S Pen now comes built-in with the new phone, allowing for a lot of creative and productive possibilities.

The improved S Pen means that you write and draw on the S22 Ultra’s bright and expansive screen, which Samsung touts will have a more realistic pen-to-paper feel. The stylus will give you instant access to signature S Pen tools such as Samsung Notes and Live Message, and the handwriting to text function has been upgraded to support 87 languages, so note-taking is more convenient than ever, especially when you’re on the go.

Besides doodling and writing, the S Pen can also act as a nifty remote control to run your presentation from afar or be used to take a snapshot with the phone camera. Use it to annotate PDFs without downloading an additional app, and even zoom in to magnify anything on your screen by up to 300 percent.

Super Tiny, Super Brain

A small processor consumes less energy and lets the device’s CPU pack in extra processing power, which is vital for smartphones and this phone will be running on a groundbreaking 4nm Processor. That’s pretty tiny, but the component is state of the art, which makes multitasking on your phone even easier. The new processor enables Samsung’s most advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) processing to run smoothly, delivering unrivaled performance for all your streaming, gaming, and productivity needs.

As you create new content, the advanced AI features work in the background to improve the clarity and quality of photos and videos by helping subjects stand out better from the background, while simultaneously detecting and concentrating on multiple objects within the same scene for better focus and improved image steadiness.

Battery For Days

All the fancy tech crammed into the phone doesn’t leave out the battery, as the phone is advertised to be able to last for more than a day on a single full charge. Samsung has combined its power-efficient 4nm Processor with a large 5,000mAh battery which will allow for long hours of use but even if you’re running low the phone supports 45W super-fast charging. The phone lets you record more than 50 minutes of video after just a 10-minute charge, which sounds extremely convenient. Do note, the 45W Travel Adapter charger is sold separately.

Pro-grade Camera In Your Pocket

As all new phones need to one-up each other in the camera department, the camera on this thing is looking to be quite impressive. Equipped with a 2.4um pixel sensor, Samsung’s largest pixel sensor ever, the Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G can capture more light and data with its camera lenses to draw out the details. With the free Expert RAW 6 app, you also have access to DLSR-like controls to capture incredible moments.

Other hallmark attributes to the camera include the ability to capture more than 68 billion colors with the first-ever 12bit HDR available in a Galaxy S series phone for more vibrant and true-to-life videos. The 12-bit HDR allows details to be recorded and viewed in very bright or dark areas of the scene, even if the shot is backlit, similar to what you see with your own eyes. Long story short, Apple’s got competition.

The phone will launch on 25 February for RM 5,099 at retail stores and Samsung outlets. It will be available in Burgundy, Phantom Black, Phantom White, and Green, with the base version having 128GB of storage, going up to 512GB for a higher price.
