Crystal Dynamics Is Working On A New Tomb Raider Game

During the State Of Unreal live stream earlier today, Epic Games announced that Unreal Engine 5 is now available for all developers. However, arguably the biggest news to come out of the online event was Crystal Dynamics revealing that they’re already working on a brand new Tomb Raider game, which will be powered by Unreal Engine 5.

Unfortunately, no other details were revealed about this new Tomb Raider game. Since it’ll be powered by Unreal Engine 5, it’s likely that this new title in the long-running franchise will be exclusive to next-gen consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. PS4 and Xbox One aren’t impossible but unlikely at this point.

Also, since the game was announced on an Epic Games live stream, there’s a possibility that the new Tomb Raider game might turn out to be an Epic Games Store PC exclusive. As of now, we still don’t know if this will be another reboot/remake, or if it will be a sequel to the 2018’s Shadow Of The Tomb Raider.
