Pocky & Rocky Remaster Gets April Release Date In Japan; June In The West
Missed the 2D top-down shooter action days of Pocky & Rocky/Kiki Kaikai featuring the shrine maiden/tanuki duo? Well, Natsume Atari and developer Tengo Project has you covered.
The Pocky & Rocky Reshrined remake, which features new graphics and game modes, will be out for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on 21 April in Japan and 24 June in the West/English form. The gameplay is how you remembered it back in the Super Famicom/SNES 90s era: you play co-op and kill off swarms of yokai with either one of the demigods and shrine maidens through a plethora of colourful feudal Japan backdrops. Fun!
The game is also getting a physical Limited and Collector’s Edition via the Strictly Limited Games store. The Limited Edition features a special cover artwork and a colourful game manual. The rare Collector’s Edition will net you:
