The Ghost Of Tsushima Movie Gets Its Screenwriter

The Ghost Of Tsushima movie adaptation was originally announced back in March 2021, but according to Deadline, the project has finally received a screenwriter. Takashi Doscher will write the screenplay for the Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions’ film adaptation of the popular Sucker Punch Productions’ game for the PS4 and PS5.

As previously reported, John Wick director Chad Stahelski is attached to direct, while Ghost Of Tsushima developer Sucker Punch Productions will serve as executive producers and will be involved with the movie. Stahelski, Alex Young and Jason Spitz are producing through their company 87Eleven Entertainment, while Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan will produce on behalf of PlayStation Productions.

Doscher is best known for writing and directing romantic sci-fi romance, Only, starring Freida Pinto and Leslie Odom Jr, as well as the movie Still, starring Madeline Brewer, which is currently available on Hulu. He also wrote and directed documentary A Fighting Chance for ESPN.

Ghost Of Tsushima is the fourth major adaptation to come from PlayStation Productions after Uncharted, which released earlier this year, as well as The Last Of Us and Twisted Metal TV shows, both of which are in the works. You can check out our review of the game here.
