The Back To The Future DeLorean Gets A Shocking Upgrade

The DeLorean Motor Company has released our first look at the Alpha 5 electric vehicle (EV). It’s basically the electric car version of the legendary car that was featured in the Back To The Future franchise.

Just like the classic 80s DeLorean, the new Alpha 5 still comes with the iconic gull-wing doors and can reach 60mph (or 96kmh) in about 2.99 seconds. It also comes with a 100kWh battery, which offers an estimated 300 miles of range and a top speed of 155mph.

However, DeLorean is only set to reveal the full look at the Alpha 5 at Pebble Beach Concours d ‘Elegance Award ramp on August 18 and the Concept Lawn on August 21 2022. Still, it’s nice to see the DeLorean getting an upgraded and modern version, besides the Hot Toys and LEGO versions of the one from the movies.
