Diablo 4 Opens Beta Sign-Up Page & Confirms Next-Gen Console Release For 2023
Update (13/): Diablo 4 now has a release year – 2023. And also adds in the fifth and final class: the Necromancer, clearly a fan-favourite undead summoner.
Good news, action RPG fans. Diablo 4, the next anticipated looting and demon-slaying series from the tumultuous Blizzard, has opened up a pre-register page for its upcoming beta.
No news on when the beta will happen though, but the website confirms the game is coming out for Xbox Series and PlayStation 5. The page itself is a bit vague whether the beta is console-exclusive or includes PC as well. In any case, you can try your luck here; just make sure you have a Blizzard account.
In other news, the mobile action RPG spin-off Diablo Immortal is facing quite a bit of backlash about its endgame content, mostly for the fact that you can pay up to US$11,000 or more to max out your character with the best gear via its gacha mechanics. Again, this is all optional and you can play through the game’s story and main campaign for free, but it is still a sore point since the best part of Diablo is getting the best possible gear with just time and effort; not with a credit card and leaving it to chance.
