Overwatch 2 Beta Will Launch Later This June For PC & Consoles

Blizzard has confirmed that its open beta for competitive multiplayer shooter Overwatch 2 will launch on 28th June.

The beta will be playable on PC, Xbox Series, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4. This version of the game will feature the Junker Queen as a playable tank hero.

More details about the game’s live service model (it’s free-to-play), seasonal content plan, and the Junker Queen’s kit and playstylye will be shared in a 17th June livestream at 1am GMT+8. Here are a few words about Overwatch 2 from Blizzard president Mike Ybarra.

“We can’t wait to roll out the beginning of the Overwatch 2 experience on October 4 and introduce an exciting new competitive vision, featuring amazing new content and a reimagining of the iconic heroes, maps, and gameplay that made the original game so compelling. This is the beginning of an always-on and always-evolving era for the franchise, and a recommitment to serving players with frequent and substantial updates planned well into the future.”
