The Last Of Us Remake Is Coming Out This September

Turns out those rumours of The Last of Us being remade by PlayStation Studios and Naughty Dog are true.

A recent link to a trailer on PlayStation Direct’s media site (via Nibellion) has cropped up, with the remake’s official title being The Last Of Us: Part 1. The game is rebuilt from the ground up for PlayStation 5 and will combine both The Last of Us: Left Behind DLC and the main game as one whole adventure.

“Enjoy a total overhaul of the original experience, faithfully reproduced but incorporating modernized gameplay, improved controls and expanded accessibility options. Plus, feel immersed with improved effects and enhanced exploration and combat.”

There’s even a box art and everything below. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like it’ll have multiplayer just like the PS3 version.

The Last of Us: Part 1 will be out for PS5 on 2nd September. A PC port of the remake will be out later. And yes, the trailer looks like it put The Last of Us: Part 1 into The Last of Us Part 2, if that makes sense.
