Forza Horizon 5 Devs Are Working On New Open World Game In New Studio
A number of developers from Forza Horizon 5 creators Playground Games have left the company to form a new studio: Maverick Games.
The new studio is led by Forza Horizon 5 creative director Mike Brown; the company announced its launch and a new “premium open world game” in the works.
“Our goal is for Maverick Games to be a studio people will love. For players, we’re already at work on an exciting ultra-high quality title, and for developers, we’re building a home where everyone is encouraged to take risks, be curious, be creative, be innovative, be themselves, and above all—be a Maverick.”
Apart from Brown, the studio’s founders include ex-Playground Games developers as well as ex-Sumo Digital co-studio head Harinder Sangha and EA experience design director Elly Marshall. As for Playground? They’re still supporting Forza Horizon 5 and also making the new Fable game; we can’t wait to hear about the latter.
