Latest Agreement Sees Xbox Games Spill Over to Nintendo

Today, Microsoft Vice Chair and President Brad Smith announced that Microsoft and Nintendo have officially signed a binding 10-year contract to bring Xbox games to Nintendo’s gamers. This includes Activision titles like Call Of Duty to more players on more platforms such as the Nintendo Switch.

Microsoft already announced this agreement back in December 2022, when Phil Spencer said that this would be happening. It took several months for the agreement to be made into an official binding deal. This is huge stuff, considering that the last Call Of Duty games to be released on a Nintendo platform were 2012’s Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 and 2013’s Call Of Duty Ghosts for the dead platform that is the Nintendo Wii U.

It will be interesting to see if future Halo titles or other Xbox exclusives will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch or future Nintendo platforms.
