Apex Legends’ Sun Squad Event Brings In Swimsuits
Earlier this week, the official Apex Legends Twitter account teased their fans on adding a swimsuit skin to the game.

Well, it’s finally time to hit the beach in Apex Legends, it seems! Respawn Entertainment is finally quenching the thirst of their fans with the long awaited swimsuit skins. The battle royale’s next collection event is a summer-themed Sun Squad event which kicks off next week on Tuesday, March 28.
NEW LIMITED-TIME MODE: HEATWAVE
HEATWAVE is a new limited-time mode that turns up the heat on the Apex Games. The game mode will have the usual Trio rules, with a little twist. Heatwaves will periodically happen throughout the match forcing players to take cover indoors or under objects so they don’t take heat damage. If however you are caught out in the open, sliding is the only way to cool you down. Heatshields have been increased in size for this particular event and will protect you from a large area from the sun for moments when you are also caught out. However, they will be destroyed very quickly if used outside of the ring.
Care Packages are said to have an item that helps mitigate the effects of the sun while looking cool doing it.
SUN SQUAD COLLECTION EVENT ITEMS

Fans will have 24 limited-time event cosmetics available for purchase, a free reward tracker that come with various prizes, and an Heirloom for those who buy out the complete event store, and this event collection is for Ash. As usual, all of the event cosmetics will be available to purchase through Apex coins, crafting materials or Sun Squad event packs that you can get from the store. For the first time in a long time, this event features cosmetics that are all new, plus it’s a new aesthetic that’s been highly requested for years in game.

Unlocking them all gets you Ash’s “Strongest Link” Heirloom!
REWARD TRACKER

Players can earn up to 1,600 points per day and challenges also refresh daily. These challenges stack with the Battle Pass so players can finish multiple challenges all at once.
