When Will PlayStation’s Project Q Come Out In Malaysia?
PlayStation has announced its upcoming remote streaming game-playing device Project Q during last week’s PlayStation Showcase 2023. It’s got an 8-inch LCD screen, has a screen & body with two halves of a DualShock 5 controller on each side, and streams games from your PS5 via Remote Play; it’s essentially PlayStation’s take on the Wii U but probably more successful.
There’s no release date or price on the upcoming device for worldwide and Southeast Asian markets yet, but some rumours have predicted a November release date for the device. Insider Gaming predicted with information from various sources that the device will arrive in mid-late November 2023.
In addition, Project Q’s battery life is reported to be around 3 to 4 hours. More information will be shared according to PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan, but so far all signs seem to be pointing towards this device being more of an add-on and complementary device instead of an essential one.
How Much Will It Cost?
With its build, its 3 to 4 battery life, and November release month schedule, all that’s left is determining its price point of the remote play handheld device. Our guess would be US$200 (RM910 to RM1,000) or so; it has to be half or less than half than the PlayStation 5 since you require the console to even run Project Q. It would be foolhardy to charge otherwise.
