Kingdom Hearts Fans Are Changing Their Twitter Bios To Organization XIII
As you know, social media platform Twitter is ditching the bird and its name for “X”. While you can still use Twitter.com, you will eventually have to call it X. Here’s the official statement:
“Twitter was acquired by X Corp both to ensure freedom of speech and as an accelerant for X, the everything app.
The Twitter name made sense when it was just 140 character messages going back and forth – like birds tweeting – but now you can post almost anything, including several hours of video. In the months to come, we will add comprehensive communications and the ability to conduct your entire financial world.”
This arguably out-of-touch rebranding is at least getting a group in the gaming community to be creative: the Kingdom Hearts side of things. The fandom for one of Square Enix’s popular JRPG series is changing their profile pics en masse to those of hooded Nobodies of Organization XIII. Why? Because it’s a coordinated plan to make its actions a meme to poke fun at Twitter CEO Elon Musk’s strange decision to rebrand Twitter. Sorry, I mean X.
It all started with this post from X user @MasterLeytrx, followed by a few more.
everyone should change their twitter pfp to this since we're gonna be called X now

This won’t be the last fandom to poke fun at Twitter’s rebranding. On a related note, Kingdom Hearts IV is still being developed. No release date for the sequel has been announced yet.
