Hades 2 Is Set To Launch For Early Access Next Spring

Supergiant Games have finally released an update on Hades 2 and it looks like the game is scheduled for next Spring 2024.

“Thank you for your patience as we gear up for this launch! You may be wondering, why can’t we launch in Early Access, like, right now?! The game looked pretty far along in the first trailer! The reason is, Hades 2 will have at least as much content from day one in Early Access as the original game did back when it launched in Early Access on Steam. And, even though Early Access inherently means a game is not yet complete, we still want to do everything we can to make sure Hades 2 is worth your while as soon as you can play it in any capacity.” – Supergiant Games

Before Hades 2 releases, a technical test will be held with a limited amount of players. Additional information regarding this specific aspect of the overall experience will be provided in the upcoming months. The team recognizes the vital role that early access played in shaping the original game and aims to emphasize its significance in the sequel’s development.

“We don’t yet know exactly how long it will take us to get to v1.0 of Hades 2. For now, our focus is to keep building core content — environments, characters, weapons, Boons, story events, music, and more — as we gear up for our Technical Test and Early Access launch in Q2 this coming year.”

The developers have confirmed a series of significant updates planned, which will introduce the remaining core content of the game and enhance existing elements based on player feedback. The narrative will evolve with each update, introducing new characters and delving deeper into the relationships with established ones. This progression will ultimately lead to the v1.0 launch, where  they will unveil the final chapters of the story and add any necessary finishing touches.
