HBO GO January 2024: Our Picks & Highlights

Here are my personal recommendations and highlights for HBO GO January 2024 lineup and how to fill up your free time with worthwhile content at home:

The Super Mario Bros. Movie (9 January 2024)

A fun adventure based on Nintendo’s globally successful video game franchise about a moustachioed plumber Mario and his lanky brother, Luigi, in their quest to save Princess Peach from villain Bowser. Starring Golden Globe winner Anya-Taylor Joy and comedy masters Chris Pratt and Charlie Day.

Premieres Saturday, January 6 at 9pm on HBO (Astro Ch 411/ Unifi TV 401) and HBO GO.

Bed Rest (13 January 2024)

After years of struggling to start a family, Julie Rivers is pregnant again and moving into a new home with her husband as they embrace a fresh start. Upon being ordered to mandatory bed rest, Julie begins to slowly unravel as she suffers through the monotony and anxiety of her new constraints. Soon, terrifying ghostly experiences in the home begin to close in on Julie, stirring up her past demons and causing others to question her mental stability. Stars Melissa Barrera and Guy Burnet.

True Detective Night Country (15 January 2024)

Catch True Detective: Night Country on HBO GO on Monday, January 15 in celebration of True Detective’s 10th Anniversary on January 12. When the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska, the eight men who operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace. To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro will have to confront the darkness theycarry in themselves and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice. Stars Jodie Foster and Kali Reis.

Premieres Monday, January 15 on HBO GO.

Operation Fortune Ruse De Guerre (20 January 2024)

Super spy Orson Fortune must track down and stop the sale of a deadly new weapons technology wielded by billionaire arms broker Greg Simmonds. Reluctantly teamed with some of the world’s best operatives, Fortune and his crew recruit Hollywood’s biggest movie star Danny Francesco to help them on their globe-trotting undercover mission to save the world. Stars Jason Statham, Aubrey Plaza, Josh Hartnett, Cary Elwes, Bugzy Malone, and Hugh Grant.
