Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 Is In The Works, Says Josh Hutcherson
Since its premiere, the Five Nights At Freddy’s movie has been a huge success at the box office, garnering over US$$289.36 million worldwide. It starred Josh Hutcherson in the lead role and in an interview with Variety, he confirmed that a sequel is already in development.
Hutcherson said:
“I know they’re in the process right now of nailing down the story, and they want to get going as soon as possible. Obviously, the fans are amazing and die hard. For me to be a part of it was was so cool and phenomenal. We hoped it would connect with audiences.
But I don’t think that anybody, even on our side of things, expected it to really connect the way that it did. I’m dying to get back on set. Emma Tammi, our director, was fantastic, and it was such a fun world to play in. I’m excited to see what they are doing next.”
However, Universal and Blumhouse (the movie’s distributor and studio) have yet to officially announce Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 or a release date/window for a sequel.
