Nintendo Switch 2 Coming In September 2024, Claims AI Company Behind New Gameshark

An AI company named Altec Lansing is planning to release a new version of Gameshark called AI Shark and in the press release for this announcement, they claim that the Nintendo Switch 2 is coming out in September 2024.

The press release partially states:

“Formerly known as GameShark, AI Shark is set to redefine the gaming landscape with its revolutionary AI-enhanced technology. The innovative gaming software is set to mark a significant leap forward in the gaming experience, bringing enhanced gameplay for beginner-level users. The official launch is planned to coincide with the Nintendo Switch 2 in September 2024.”

At the time of writing, Nintendo has yet to announce anything official about a Nintendo Switch 2. They have also yet to comment on Altec Lansing’s claims.

In a statement to Digital Trends, a spokesperson from Altec Lansing backtracks on the press release’s claims and states that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be coming out sometime in fall 2024.

Another spokesperson from Altec Lansing told prominent games journalist Jason Schreier that they’re just “guessing” the release date.

Right now, it just seems like this AI company is trying to drum up publicity by making a false statement about the Nintendo Switch 2. It’s highly unlikely that they would get to announce the Nintendo Switch 2 before Nintendo themselves.
