Epic Shogun Trailer Makes It Look Like A Series Made For Total War Shogun 2 Fans

FX has released an epic new trailer for the upcoming Shogun series. The trailer showcases some great moments of war and action, as well as political intrigue. It looks like a series tailor made for fans of Total War Shogun 2.

Based on James Clavell’s novel, FX’s Sh?gun is set in Japan in the year 1600 at the dawn of a century-defining civil war. Lord Yoshii Toranaga is fighting for his life as his enemies on the Council of Regents unite against him, when a mysterious European ship is found marooned in a nearby fishing village.

Shogun follows John Blackthorne, a risk-taking English sailor who ends up shipwrecked in Japan, a land whose unfamiliar culture will ultimately redefine him. Thrust into a world of dangerous politics and intrigue between rival Japanese Warlords, the Regency, the Catholic Church, and the Empires of Spain and Portugal, he meets one of the most powerful men in the world: Lord Yoshi Toranaga. A shrewd, powerful daimyo, Lord Yoshi Toranaga is at odds with his own dangerous, political rivals and soon discovers secrets from Blackthorne that could tip the scales of power and devastate his enemies.

Shogun premieres on Disney+ Hotstar in Malaysia on 27 February 2024.
