Taiwan Street Fighter 6 Player Wins Capcom Cup X & US$1 Million Dollars
The dust has settled and one of the major Street Fighter 6 tournaments in the world, Capcom Cup X, has determined its winner.
After a gruelling week of 2D street fighting, we have a winner in the midst: Taiwanese player Wang “UMA” Yuan-hao. He won 1st place and the insanely huge US$1 million prize money from the tournament.
UMA defeated many high-level Street Fighter 6 players like Hong Kong’s Chris Wong and DRX| Leshar, all without representing an esports group while sporting an Ookami Mio VTuber hoodie. He expressed his gratitude to the Taiwanese fighting game community for their support.
“I’m very grateful to my family and the Taiwan [Street Fight] community for their support. I could not have won this championship without them. I knew I would take it when it was announced the prize money for the champion would be US$1 million.“
Congratulations to the #CAPCOMCUPX Champion, @uma327_sf6! ?

UMA has been active in the fighting game esports scene since 2017, though he has to juggle between his daily job as a salaryman and training 4 hours with partners like, surprise surprise, Chris Wong. Check out some of UMA’s highlights below.
