Xbox Business Update: Four Xbox Games Are Coming To Other Consoles & Platforms

A special episode of the Xbox Official Podcast dropped today, revealing that four Xbox games are coming to other consoles and platforms. Three people participated in the podcast, including Xbox head and CEO Phil Spencer, Xbox President Sarah Bond and Xbox President of Game Content and Studios Matt Booty.

However, Phil Spencer doesn’t reveal the four specific games. He did confirm that it won’t be Starfield or Indiana Jones And The Great Circle.

About the four Xbox games coming to other consoles/platforms, Phil Spencer said that these games:

  • Have already launched on Xbox and PC for at least over one year.
  • Two of them are community-driven games, they’re “first iterations of a franchise that have reached their full potential on Xbox and PC”.
  • The other two are smaller games that “were never meant to be platform exclusives”.

From those criteria, they might be anything from Sea Of Thieves, Pentiment, Grounded or anything at this point, really. One of them is highly likely Hi-Fi Rush (considering all the rumours and speculation).

In addition, they confirmed that they’re not changing their exclusivity strategy and they will still release exclusive games, but only these four specific games will be coming to non-Xbox consoles and platforms for now.

They also confirmed that Xbox Game Pass will only be available on Xbox consoles and PC.

Last but not least, they mentioned that the next Xbox showcase will be in June 2024, which is to be expected since that’s during the summer and essentially (what used to be) E3 season.

In the meantime, you can check out the full episode below:
