Dune Part Two Box Office Reaches Almost Half A Billion

According to a report by Variety, Denis Villeneuve’s Dune Part Two has grossed a whopping US$494.7 million globally, including US$208 million in North America and US$289.4 million internationally. It is now the highest-grossing movie of 2024 so far, and that’s only after about two weeks since its release.

That being said, Dune Part Two is about to face stiff competition starting from next week, with the release of the highly-anticipated Godzilla X Kong The New Empire.

Dune Part Two stars Timothee Chalamet and Rebecca Ferguson joined by fellow returning Dune Part One cast members Zendaya, Javier Bardem, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Charlotte Rampling, and Stephen McKinley Henderson, as well as new additions Austin Butler, Tim Blake Nelson, Florence Pugh, Souheila Yacoub, and Léa Seydoux.

Dune Part Two explores “the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavours to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.”

Dune Part Two is now showing in Malaysian cinemas.
