INTI CREATES Announces 2D Action Anime Game, Divine Dynamo Flamefrit

INTI CREATES has announced the development of a new 2D action-adventure game, Divine Dynamo Flamefrit. It will be a 2D action homage to 90s fantasy and robot anime, although the timing of the news is dubious at best. It is 1st April after all.

Divine Dynamo Flamefrit is a 2D action homage to 90s fantasy and robot anime. Players will assume the role of Yuuto Hino, a young hero from another world, as you’ll battle foes with sword swipes, spins, and fury. Players are invited to adventure through the fantasy world in a top-down view as Yuuto Hino. During boss battles, the gameplay will switch to a first-person perspective aboard his robot companion, Flamefrit.

The visuals, sounds, and characters are meant to evoke nostalgia. Divine Dynamo Flamefrit is spearheaded by director Kyo Kobayashi, who recently directed Gal Guardians Demon Purge, and is currently planning all manner of fun twists for the game. Or not, given the date of this announcement.

There are currently no release dates or specified platforms for the game yet.
