Netflix May 2024: Our Picks & Highlights

I’m sure you won’t want to waste time sifting through Netflix’s extensive catalogue of shows and movies just to decide on what to watch. The streaming giant updates its site every day, week, and month with new content, so I’m here to save your precious time.

Here are my personal recommendations and highlights for Netflix Malaysia’s May 2024 lineup and how to fill up your free time with worthwhile content at home:

Mother Of The Bride (1 May 2024)

First love always deserves a second chance! From the director of Mean Girls and Freaky Friday, Brooke Shields is THE Mother of the Bride; coming to Netflix this Mother’s Day. A doting mom jets off to a tropical island resort for her daughter’s wedding — only to discover the groom’s father is the ex she hasn’t seen in decades.

Bodkin (9 May 2024)

Bodkin is a darkly comedic thriller about a motley crew of podcasters who set out to investigate the mysterious disappearance of three strangers in an idyllic, coastal Irish town. But once they start pulling at threads, they discover a story much bigger and weirder than they could have ever imagined.

Blood Of Zeus Season 2 (10 May 2024)

To escape the Underworld forever, Hades crafts a plan to claim Zeus’s crown for himself and reunite with his beloved Persephone as ruler of Olympus.

The 8 Show (17 May 2024)

Eight individuals trapped in a mysterious 8-story building participate in a tempting but dangerous game show where they earn money as time passes.

Atlas (24 May 2024)

Atlas Shepherd (Jennifer Lopez), a brilliant but misanthropic data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence, joins a mission to capture a renegade robot with whom she shares a mysterious past. But when plans go awry, her only hope of saving the future of humanity from AI is to trust it. Atlas is only on Netflix, 24 May.
