Pokémon World Championships 2024 Dates Unveiled For Late Summer

Mark your calendars for 16–18 August as the Honolulu Convention Center in Hawaii gears up to host this premier event in the competitive Pokémon circuit.

Participants who have vied for glory throughout the season will receive coveted invitations to showcase their skills. Each year, this event draws thousands of players and enthusiasts from around the globe, converging to compete across various Pokémon disciplines. Expect to witness the crowning of new champions in Pokémon Video Game Championships, Pokémon Trading Card Game, and Pokémon Unite.

Recalling the past venues, the 2022 edition unfolded in London, while 2023’s event unfolded in Yokohama, Japan. Notably, 2022 marked the inaugural Pokémon World Championships held outside the US.

In a lighthearted gesture for April Fool’s Day, The Pokémon Company unveiled a humorous video teasing a fictional Pokémon Sleep World Championship. The parody depicts competitors engaging in “gameplay” by sleeping in beds within an arena, amusingly cheered on by a sizable audience.
