Stellar Blade Developers Announce Game Will Be Released Uncensored in All Regions
South Korean developer Shift Up has announced that Stellar Blade will be receiving an “uncensored” release worldwide, including in Japan. This information was shared in a recent tweet, which specifically mentions that the Japanese release will adhere to the same content standards as other regions.
The tweet itself does not provide any further details regarding the specific content that will be included in the “uncensored” release. However, it can be inferred that the potentially violent and sexual material will be available intact throughout the game’s localisations, without the need for modifications or removals to obtain a release in a specific region.

This news may come as a delight for players who were under the impression that Stellar Blade would be censored in certain regions, it is important to note that the game may not provide players with the opportunity to ogle Eve’s curvaceous body throughout the entire experience. Kim Hyung Tae, the game’s director, has emphasized the importance of players making Eve wear clothes as much as possible, with over 20 to 30 costumes prepared, as it will enhance her stats. Kim has specifically warned that wearing the Skin Suit, which exposes Eve’s body, offers “no defensive function” and may result in a “quick” death.
The hack-and-slash title puts players in control of the stylish heroine Eve, as she takes on the Naytibas, a force ravaging Earth while surviving humans escape to an outer space colony.
Stellar Blade is slated to launch exclusively for PS5 on 26 April 2024. You can download and play the free demo now.
