Larian Studios Opens Their Seventh Branch In Warsaw After Their Last One In Malaysia
Baldur’s Gate 3 developer Larian Studios has announced that they have established a new studio in Warsaw, Poland.
This is their seventh studio after Quebec City (Canada), Dublin (Ireland), Guildford (United Kingdom), Barcelona (Spain), and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). Their last studio was the Malaysian branch, which opened in 2019.
“Like its sister studios across the globe, Larian Studios Warsaw is dedicated to fostering an environment where developers can thrive creatively and reclaim their agency,” reads a post on Larian’s careers page. “Systems-heavy RPGs need best-in-class developers, that’s why we’ve put the people who build those systems at the center of our culture.”
Recently, Larian Studios confirmed that they won’t be introducing any major new narrative content to the story of Baldur’s Gate 3 or its origin characters and companions, nor will they be making expansions of Baldur’s Gate 4.
They also confirmed that they are currently working on two new projects unrelated to Baldur’s Gate.
Baldur’s Gate 3 was originally launched for PC and Mac via Steam and GOG on 3 August 2023, as well as for PS5 on 6 September 2023 and Xbox on 7 December 2023.
In the meantime, check out my review of Baldur’s Gate 3 after more than 100 hours of playtime (at the time of writing).
