Malaysia’s GamesMY Esports will Host a Special Akuma Street Fighter 6 Release Party Today

The long-standing Street Fighter 6 fan favourite Akuma has been officially added to the roster for Season 2. GamesMY Esports will host an exclusive hands-on experience to celebrate Akuma’s arrival.

Fans and attendees can get their hands on Akuma in Street Fighter 6 Season 2 today, 24 May 2024, from 6:00 pm to 12:00 am (MYT), at GamesMY Studio at Maxim Citylights Sentul, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was announced on Facebook and shared across community pages.

As part of the announcement, the Esports studio will also offer other popular fighting game titles, though the names are not disclosed.

The inclusion of Akuma in Street Fighter 6 was teased in March, and on 22 May, Capcom officially released the character. Several of Akuma’s signature moves are included, such as Gou Hadoken, Akuma’s fireball attack that can now be charged and unleashed with a “red fireball,” enhancing players’ offensive abilities. In addition, Akuma retains his Ashura Senku manoeuvre, which allows him to manoeuvre swiftly while cloaked in shadow, making him more evasive.

As well as the new season of Street Fighter 6, Akuma brought new move options and balance changes to existing characters.
