Microsoft has revealed that Age of Mythology Retold will be released on 4 September for PC, Xbox, and Xbox Game Pass.
This game is a remake of Ensemble Studios’ Age of Mythology, a real-time strategy game initially published by Microsoft Game Studios in 2002. Similar to the Age of Empires series, it involves strategic combat featuring armies and fortresses. However, Age of Mythology stands out with its mythological twist, incorporating giant gods who actively participate in battles.
The original Age of Mythology was well-received for its engaging gameplay and innovative use of mythological themes from Greek, Egyptian, and Norse pantheons. Players could summon mythic units and call upon divine powers, adding a unique layer to the traditional RTS mechanics.
