Endless Dungeon To Add New Hero Alongside Free Update; Out This Week

SEGA and Amplitude Studios have recently unveiled exciting news for fans of the hybrid roguelite tower defence game Endless Dungeon. A new hero is set to join the game along with an upcoming free update, encompassing extensive reworks to the crystal bot, turrets, and heroes, along with balancing tweaks and enhancements.

This latest hero, Viggie the Locksmith, is the result of a unique collaboration with the gaming community through the Games2Gether platform, spanning over five months. Players participated in a voting process to determine seven critical aspects of the new character, ranging from her backstory and personality to her combat abilities and visual appearance.

Viggie belongs to the Z’Vali race, distinguished by their deep interest in the convergence of science and philosophy and their intriguing suspicion that the universe may actually be a complex simulation controlled by unseen forces. Motivated by her quest for the truth behind this theory, Viggie has embarked on numerous voyages to discover the largest remaining data repository of the Endless. She believes that if there is any entity capable of unravelling this mystery, it would be found there, along with the evidence to prove it. Her journey leads her to the Station, signalling the start of her quest for answers within the game.

With the release of the Dead or Online update, all players will gain access to Viggie, enhancing the gameplay experience with fresh strategies and challenges. The update introduces the “Insta Havoc” turret for devastating explosive attacks against foes and the Healing Fountain to restore the vitality of heroes in its vicinity. Additionally, the update includes the introduction of a new electric handgun, the Cardiac Processing Unit, designed to incapacitate monsters with its stunning effects.
