Brad Pitt’s Formula 1 Movie Is Just Called F1 & It Arrives Next Year
Formula 1 and Apple Original Films have officially confirmed the name of their upcoming movie, and the official title is simply F1.
Starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, F1 will be directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Pitt himself and seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton, among others.
The movie stars Pitt as former Formula 1 driver Sonny Hayes, who is lured back to the sport to partner rookie teammate Joshua Pearce, played by Idris, at the fictional APXGP team. Filming of F1, which also stars Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia and Samson Kayo, took place at real F1 events, including this weekend’s British Grand Prix.

The first teaser trailer for F1 will be coming during the F1 broadcast on the International Feed just ahead of the British Grand Prix on Sunday, 7 July 2024.
F1 is set to be distributed in theatres and in IMAX by Warner Bros. Pictures internationally on 25 June 2025.
