Captain America Brave New World Trailer Breakdown: Red Hulk, The Leader & More
Marvel Studios has unveiled the first trailer for the upcoming Captain America Brave New World.
Let the ComicsLord break it all down below:
Meet President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross

Harrison Ford also makes his MCU debut as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, a role previously played by the late William Hurt in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk and until 2019’s Avengers Endgame. In Captain America Brave New World, the character is the president of the United States Of America.
Isaiah Bradley Seemingly Attempts To Assassinate The President

Carl Lumbly reprises his role from The Falcon And The Winter Soldier as Isaiah Bradley AKA the first Black Captain America and one of the first people after Steve Rogers to have successfully become a Super Soldier.
It seems like in Captain America Brave New World, chaos erupts when Isaiah attempts to assassinate President Ross.
Maybe he’s being controlled by someone? The Leader, perhaps, since we already know that he’s one of the movie’s major antagonists and he has telepathic powers.
Joaquin Torres AKA The New Falcon Also Returns

Danny Ramirez also reprises his role as Joaquin Torres AKA the new Falcon from The Falcon And The Winter Soldier.
Maybe we’ll see him suit up in the movie.

Meet Giancarlo Esposito’s Mystery Character

We know that Giancarlo Esposito is playing a villain in Captain America Brave New World but we still don’t know who exactly.
The Woman In Front Is Sabra

That’s Shira Haas in the role of Sabra.
In the comics, Sabra is a mutant superhero from Israel.

Apparently, The Tiamut Location From Eternals Will Be One Of The Movie’s Settings

That looks like it could be the Tiamut Celestial corpse area from Eternals movie. Remember that?
If so, this will be the first time that the MCU will be returning to that location since 2021.

The Trailer Ends With A Glimpse Of The Red Hulk

We all knew this was coming but it’s finally confirmed.
Red Hulk will make his debut in Captain America Brave New World.
In the comics, Red Hulk is actually Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross but it’s possible that the MCU might change his identity. We’ll have to wait and see.

We Don’t See Samuel Sterns AKA The Leader But We Hear Him In The Trailer

We know that Tim Blake Nelson will reprise his role as Samuel Sterns AKA The Leader, and he’ll be one of the movie’s main antagonists.
He was last seen back in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk and in a tie-in comic, he was confirmed to be in SHIELD custody. However, no one knows what he’s been up to since then.
Captain America Brave New World premieres in cinemas in February 2025.
