Concord Teases Free Post-Launch Content; No Battle Pass

Developer Firewalk Studios’ debut first-person shooter, Concord, will not come with a battle pass.

The developer recently answered a number of questions on Twitter/X following the concluded open beta. The launch version will have 12 maps to play at launch, 16 characters in the roster, and six game modes. Also, the game won’t have a Battle Pass.

“Concord does not have a Battle Pass. We wanted to focus our attention on making Concord a rewarding and robust experience on day one, where just playing the game, levelling up your accounts and characters, and completing jobs yields meaningful rewards.”

Firewalk Studios also shared plans about the game’s progression and rewards, which will all be available in the game’s RM169 package.

“When Concord launches, we’ll have hundreds of items to customize your Freegunners, which you can earn just by playing the game, completing jobs, and leveling up your account and characters.

These rewards are cosmetic, do not impact gameplay, and include: Freegunner outfits, wearables, and accessories, as well as weapon skins, weapon charms, victory and defeat poses, and drop-in animations.”

Firewalk Studios will be adding new Freegunners, maps, modes, and more through regular post-launch season and updates. The game’s post-launch roadmap will be out very soon.

Concord had a rocky start,  with people stating they kinda enjoyed the beta but do not find the characters memorable or likeable. The game was supposed to offer the beta only to customers who pre-ordered. However, it then became available for everyone in a last-minute change most likely due to terrible pre-order numbers. For more on Concord, check out our hands-on with the beta.
